Bobcats to Wrap Preseason against Minotauros

BISMARCK, ND – Fresh from the holiday weekend, the Bismarck Bobcats will close out their 2015 preseason schedule with a 7:15pm Wednesday exhibition against the in-state rival Minot Minotauros at the VFW Sports Center.

It will be a rematch of Saturday’s tilt in Minot, which the Tauros claimed 4-3.

The Cats’ only home preseason contest will be the last chance for Bobcat hopefuls to make a lasting impression on the coaching staff with cuts looming ahead of Coors Light Opening Night.

“This season, we’ve had a large group of players in Training Camp, which makes for more tough decisions for our staff,” related Bobcats head coach and general manager Layne Sedevie. “Our hope, though, is that our guys go out there and play their best hockey to make those decisions as tough as possible.”

With such a big contingent of players in camp, the roster for Wednesday’s game figures to have a much different complexion than Saturday’s loss.

“Saturday we had over 10 [skaters] in suits at the Maysa,” added Sedevie, “and we want to make sure every player gets a look and a fair shake.”

Wednesday will be the final dress rehearsal for the 2015-16 campaign—the 19th season of Bobcat Hockey—which begins Friday, September 18, at the VFW Sports Center against the Austin Bruins.

Tickets are on sale now for Wednesday’s exhibition dustup at BismarckBobcats.com.

The preseason finale will be broadcast live on locally SuperTalk 1270 AM, the radio home of Bobcat Hockey, and worldwide online at NAHL.FASTHockey.com—the official web television partner of the North American Hockey League—with pregame coverage starting at 6:45pm.
