CLOQUET, MN – The Bismarck Bobcats are back on the road for their only out-of-division away weekend—a two-game series Friday and Saturday at Northwoods Credit Union Arena against the defending Robertson Cup Champion Minnesota Wilderness.

During their national championship campaign, the Wilderness posted a fierce 20-6-2 record at “The Lumberdome,” but half of those home defeats were at the hands of the Bobcats, who went 3-0-1 in Cloquet a season ago—including handing Minnesota their first home loss of the 2014-15 on January 2.

Minnesota has stayed strong at home this year, having their five-game home win streak ended on October 23 by Minot before turning around and halting the Minotauros’ league-high nine-game streak the following night.

Wilderness veteran Tyler Cline has been red-hot to start 2015-16, tied for the league lead in points on 10 goals and 10 assists in 13 appearances; the Blaine, Minn., native has only had two games all season without a point. Center Aaron Miller, a 60-point scorer last year, recently returned to the Wilderness from a brief stint in the USHL to post three assists in five games played.

For the Bobcats, five points in three games have pushed center Aaron Herdt into tops on the team in scoring with seven goals and seven assists.

Goalie Hunter Shepard presided over all three wins the Cats had in Cloquet last season; the second-year keeper has recorded three straight victories in the current campaign to improve to 5-4-0.

Friday’s non-division tilt will be broadcast live on locally SuperTalk 1270 AM, the radio home of Bobcat Hockey, and worldwide online at NAHL.FASTHockey.com—the official web television partner of the North American Hockey League—with pregame coverage starting at 7:00pm.
