BISMARCK, ND — The Bismarck Bobcats will get a season-high seven-game home stand started Friday as they open up a weekend series against the Midwest Division-leading Minnesota Wilderness at the VFW Sports Center.

Having dropped three of their last four contests in February, the Cats will be trying to bounce back against a Wilderness side that has already punched its ticket to the 2015 Robertson Cup Playoffs.

When Minnesota visited the capital region earlier this season over Thanksgiving weekend, the two sides split a pair of one-goal contests that included third-period comebacks by both teams.

Second-year forward Darian Romanko has exploded to the top of the Wilderness’ scoring ranks, piling up 12 goals and 11 assists since the outset of January for 43 total points on the season.

Goaltender Ryan Anderson has seen the bulk of the action for Minnesota since their first trip to the VFW, starting 25 of the Wilderness’ 26 contests since November 26. The rookie has posted a 17-3-5 mark in that span to rocket the green and red to the top of the Midwest table.

Bobcat co-captain Cullen Willox is back in control of the team’s scoring lead thanks to five goals and an assist in his last six games for a total of 44 points in 41 appearances–giving the veteran an average of more than a point per game on his sophomore campaign.

In net, Alex Bitsakis has been hot for the Cats with 103 saves in his last three starts to push his save percentage up to .912 on the season.

Tickets are now on sale for both weekend games: fans can buy and print online 24 hours a day at BismarckBobcats.com or charge by phone at 222-3300.

Live coverage of Friday’s series lidlifter at 6:45pm locally on SuperTalk 1270, KLXX-AM, the radio home of Bobcat Hockey, and worldwide online at NAHL.FASTHockey.com, the official web television partner of the North American Hockey League.

Though the 2014-15 season is over half way through, there is still time to order season tickets for the year; fans who want to lock in their seats for the remainder of the campaign should call the Bobcat office at 222-3300 today.
