The Bismarck Bobcats return from the Christmas break just in time to ring in the New Year with a 7:15 PM Thursday contest against the surging Alexandria Blizzard, followed by a Friday-Saturday series against the North Iowa Outlaws at the VFW Sports Center.

When the 2010 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament rolls around on January 18th, the Bismarck Bobcats will be the most well-represented team in the Central Division thanks to a strong finish to the first half of the 2009-10 season.

First Bismarck Bobcats forward Dominic Panetta racked up five points while the Bobcats swept away the North Iowa Outlaws, then he picked up this week’s Sherwood NAHL Central Division Player of the Week award.

Former Bismarck High standout Tyler Richter had the Saturday crowd roaring at the VFW Sports Center, posting his first goal for the Bismarck Bobcats in game-winning fashion as the Bobcats swept away the visiting North Iowa Outlaws with a 5-2 win.

Facing an early 2-0 deficit at home against the North Iowa Outlaws, the first place Bismarck Bobcats came charging back to upend the Outlaws 3-2 at the VFW Sports Center Friday night.

The Bismarck Bobcats are taking their show on the road Thursday to play an exhibition contest against the rival North Iowa Outlaws at Odde Ice Arena in Aberdeen, SD.

The Bismarck Bobcats bounced back from their first regulation loss in over a month in resounding fashion Saturday, routing the Albert Lea Thunder 8-2 at Albert Lea Arena.
