The Bismarck Bobcats have added to their goaltending core by bringing in Evan Hazelberg from the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 18U AAA program.
Hazelberg, a native of Peoria, Arizona, is a 6’2, 207lb right handed catching ‘08 goaltender. This season he has split his time between the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 18U AAA program and Mountain Ridge High School’s teams. Hazelberg mentioned his excitement to continue his development with the Bobcats. “I’m super excited to be here in Bismarck. It’s a great coaching staff and a great history and I’m just super excited to be here!”
Bismarck Bobcats Goaltending Coach Layne Sedevie commented on why Hazelberg was a goaltender that the Bobcats wanted to bring in and develop. “Evan is a very talented young goaltender, who came out earlier in the season and performed well. With Callaway being traded to the USHL, we felt like he was more than capable to come up here and develop and play games along with Marko.”
