Alum Lamoureux Nets AHA Hardware

Colorado Springs, CO — Air Force junior Jacques Lamoureux was named the Atlantic Hockey Association Player of the Week as he scored six points to help lead Air Force to a sweep of AIC, Dec. 4-5, at the Academy\’s Cadet Ice Arena.

Lamoureux tied a career-high with four points in Friday\’s 5-3 win with two goals and two assists. He scored the game-winner, his second of the season. On Saturday, he added a goal and an assist in the 6-2 victory. Lamoureux leads the team with 10 goals and 21 points. He ranks fifth in the nation with six power-play goals this season.

The award is Lamoureux\’s first of the season and the fourth of his career. His AHA weekly honor is the fourth by a Falcon this season.

Air Force (8-5-3 overall, 8-1-3 AHA) hosts Mercyhurst (8-9-1 overall and 8-5-1 AHA) Friday-Saturday, Dec. 11-12, at 7:05 MT each night at Cadet Ice Arena. AFA is tied for first in the league while Mercyhurst is two points behind in third place.

The Bobcats return to action on Friday with a 7:30 PM road tilt with the Albert Lea Thunder, winners of two of their last three games.
