Bobcats Sign Defenseman
Bismarck, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats have tendered defenseman Chase Beacom.
“He’s an elite skater and dynamic defenseman and we’re excited to get him,” said Bobcats Head Coach Layne Sedevie. “We need guys to step in and be impact guys and that’s the reason we went after him.”
Beacom, 17, had 20 points in 24 games with Bloomington Kennedy High School in Minnesota this past season. He is committed to play for St. Cloud State when his junior hockey career ends.
“Chase is an elite skater with very high hockey IQ,” said Bobcats Director of Scouting Niko Kapetanovic. “He’s someone who can contribute on the power play and I think he’ll be one of the more fun defenseman to watch play in all of the Central Division.”
