Bobcats Tender Touted Defenseman
Bismarck, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats have tendered defenseman Jeff Hutchinson.
“The Bobcats have a reputation as a very strong organization,” Hutchinson said. “I feel like they have a very dedicated coaching staff with a lot of passion.”
Hutchinson, 17, has 4 points in 8 games with the St. Louis Blues AAA U18 team this season.
“Jeff is a strong, puck-moving, physical defenseman,” said Bobcats scout Niko Kapetanovic. “He can contribute in the offensive zone and plays exceptional positional defense.”
“I feel like a solid, two-way defenseman,” Hutchinson said. “Someone that can play both sides of the puck when needed.”
Hutchinson has played with the St. Louis Blues AAA program since 2015. The Missouri native has advanced from the Bantam level to his current spot with the U18 team in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League.
“I want to thank my mom and dad for this too,” Hutchinson said. “I couldn’t do it without them.”
