Cats Add Minnesota Forward

Bismarck, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats have tendered forward Chris Kernan from Maple Grove, Minnesota.

“Chris is a two-way forward that plays with exceptional pace,” said Niko Kapetanovic, the Bobcats director of scouting. “His skating ability allows him to hunt pucks and create 2nd and 3rd chance opportunities in the offensive zone.”

Kernan, 18, collected 21 points in 25 games last season for Maple Grove High School, including seven goals. He also posted nine points in eight games in the NAPHL.

“Chris is a well rounded forward that can succeed as a wing or playing down the middle,” Kapetanovic said.

Kernan is the third forward in Bismarck’s current tender signing class, joining Calvin Hanson and Adam Pietila.
