Bobcats Add Assistant Coach
Bismarck, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats are pleased to announce the hiring of Garrett Hendrickson as an assistant coach for the 2020-2021 season.
“He’ll bring energy and enthusiasm to our locker room and to our practices,” said Bobcats head coach Layne Sedevie. “That’s one of the reasons why we went after him. The thing that is appealing is that he’s been in our league and he’s done it.”
Hendrickson has previously served as an assistant coach with a Central Division rival for the Bobcats with the Minnesota Wilderness. He spent last season with the Wisconsin Lumberjacks of the SIJHL as an associate head coach and assistant general manager.
“I am very excited to join such a classy organization,” Hendrickson said. “They have such a good reputation and I am excited to be a part of it. I want to thank owner Thom Brigl for this opportunity and also Layne for believing in me to help him continue the great tradition.”
“He’s identified talent and that speaks volumes knowing what kind of level this league is now,” Sedevie said. “That’s something he brings to the table and it’s valued at this level.”
Prior to coaching, Hendrickson played four years of college hockey at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. Hendrickson accumulated 71 points in 100 career games with the Cobbers during his time at Concordia.
