Bobcat Co-Captain Gianni DiVita Commits to Ohio University

Jul 5, 2026

The Bismarck Bobcats are proud to announce that Forward and Co-Captain Gianni DiVita has committed to continue his collegiate hockey and academic career at Ohio University.

DiVita was one of the few second-year Bobcats on last year’s team and led the team with a “C” on his jersey. In his NAHL career, he amassed 77 games where he scored 11 goals and added on 27 assists for 38 points. DiVita was also a part of the 2025 Robertson Cup Championship team as he joined the Bobcats from the BCHL in February of 2025. Gianni talked about his time in Bismarck and excitement to get started with Ohio University. “Bismarck was great to me. I learned a ton, met a bunch of great people, and got to play in front of the best fans in the league. With that being said, I’m super excited to get on with the next chapter of my life and get back to school!”

Ohio University is widely considered as one of the most successful ACHA programs in the nation. Last year the Bobcats won the National Championship defeating Adrian College 3-1. That secured their 5th overall ACHA National Championship and ended a 22-year drought. Their 5 championships are tied with Penn State for the most in ACHA history.

The Ohio University Bobcats are an ACHA Division I hockey program that play in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League (CSCHL).
