The Bismarck Bobcats are proud to announce that Forward Oscar Jonsson has signed a professional contract back home in Sweden with Vasby IK.
Jonsson, a 6’0, 165lbs forward, was a mid-season acquisition for the Bobcats this season as he and defensemanHugo Kruse made the leap across the pond to North America. Oscar appeared in 15 regular season games to go along with 2 playoff games where he notched 6 goals and 3 helpers for a total of 9 points.
Vasby IK is a hockey club in Sweden that plays in HockeyEttan, the 3rd tier of professional hockey. Last season Vasby IK made a late season push going on a 7-game winning streak to qualify for the playoffs, where they fell in the 1st round as the #8 seed.
