The Bismarck Bobcats are proud to announce that David Arduin has joined the Bismarck Bobcats hockey operations staff as an Eastern Regional Scout.
As a player, Arduin had an extensive junior hockey career, primarily playing in the BCHL. He would then go on to play his first year of collegiate hockey at powerhouse Quinnipiac, before transferring to SUNY Geneseo. Following the conclusion of his playing career, Arduin would return to SUNY Geneseo as an Assistant Coach from 2012-15. Most recently he has been a scout in the USHL with the Chicago Steel along with the Head Coach of the Bishop Kearney Selects 18U AAA team.
Bismarck Bobcats General Manager and Director of Scouting Niko Kapetanovic described Arduin’s wealth of knowledge when asked about bringing him onto the hockey operations staff. “The Bismarck Bobcats are thrilled to have someone with the pedigree, respect, and knowledge that David has. After I met David 4 years ago we have stayed in constant contact and he has been a professional in every way possible. When the opportunity came about to bring David on our scouting staff, I jumped at the opportunity to bring him on board. As the Director of Boys hockey at the national powerhouse Bishop Kearney, David brings a wealth of knowledge. David has also coached many great players as Head Coach for the BK U18 team, including two of our own in Charlie Kresl and Ben Rakowski. The Bismarck Bobcats got better today with David on board. Not many people are as connected and have as good of an eye as him. I couldn’t be happier for the future of Bobcat Hockey with David on board.”
Arduin mentioned his excitement to join the Bobcats’ scouting staff and eagerness to contribute to the Bobcats. “I’m excited to have the opportunity to join a team that shows a true commitment to development and advancement the way Bismarck does. Their track record for on ice success combined with a positive player experience speaks for itself. I look forward to being able to contribute to the staff, and help future players have their path go through Bismarck.”
