The Bismarck Bobcats have bolstered their roster heading into the 2nd half of the season by adding on ‘05 defenseman Hugo Kruse and ‘05 forward Oscar Jonsson from Sweden.
Kruse, a native of Falun, Sweden, is a left-handed Defenseman who comes to the Bobcats from Tyreso/Hanviken in HockeyEttan (3rd tier of Swedish hockey). In 15 games this season, he scored 1 goal, accrued 2 penalty minutes, and was a +1. Kruse appeared in this past weekend’s games against the St. Cloud Norsemen, where the Bobcats swept the Norsemen by scores of 3-0 and 4-1.
Jonsson, a native of Sodertalje, Sweden, is a left-handed forward who comes to the Bobcats from Vallentuna Hockey in HockeyEttan. Jonsson has not yet appeared in a game this season. Last year, Jonsson put up significant numbers in the J20 Nationell with Sodertalje SK J20. In 35 appearances, Jonsson scored 10 goals to go along with 17 assists for a total of 27 points. Jonsson also played with former Bobcat Jan Gaspar at Sodertalje.
