The Bismarck Bobcats are proud to announce that Forward Houston Smith has signed a tender for the 2026-27 season.
Smith, an ‘09 forward, out of Sioux City Iowa comes to the Bobcats following his season with the Sioux Falls Power 16U AAA program. During his 16U AAA season Smith appeared in 58 games for the Power where he tallied 19 goals to go along with 31 assists for a total of 50 points. In addition to playing for the power, Smith appeared in 1 game this season with the Austin Bruins and 2 games for his hometown Sioux City Musketeers.
Bismarck Bobcats General Manager and Director of Scouting Niko Kapetanovic is thrilled for Smith to get started next season in Bismarck and make an immediate impact. “The Bismarck Bobcats are honored to tender Houston Smith from the Sioux Falls Power program. Noelle Needham does a fantastic job developing players in the Sioux Falls program and we have had a ton of success taking from the Sioux Falls Power. Houston is a forward who has an excellent stick, can really skate, and has an outstanding scoring touch. We look for Houston to step in and make an immediate impact. Adding a Bowling Green University committed player to our roster is something that I know Coach Alec Rauhauser is thrilled about.
As Kapetanovic mentioned, Smith is committed to Bowling Green State University. He made his commitment early in the 2025-26 season.
