Mar 29, 2024

BISMARCK, ND – The Bismarck Bobcats have signed forward Heath Nelson to a tender agreement for the 2024-25 season.

Nelson, an ‘06 born player, has tallied 38 goals and 32 assists in 31 games with Centennial High this season. The Minnesota native has appeared in 23 games this year with the Kenai River Brown Bears 18UAAA team where he scored 20 points in 23 games.

“Heath had a fantastic season in Minnesota HS hockey for Centennial. He is who I have watched closely over the years and has gotten substantially better every season. Heath has a great scoring touch and can make plays all around the rink. Scoring 38 goals in MN AA HS hockey is extremely impressive. The best part is that his best hockey is yet to come.” Said Niko Kapetanovic the Bobcats’ assistant general manager. Nelson started his journey in 2019 as part of the single A Centennial Bantam before moving up to AA in just a year. In 2022 he continued with the Minnesota Green Giants 16UAAA then finally was part of the NAPHL while playing with Centennial High.

Tender agreements are contracts handing a North American Hockey League team rights to a player for the upcoming season.
