BISMARCK, ND – Bismarck Bobcats forward Julian Beaumont has announced his commitment to Robert Morris University.

A Division I program located in suburban Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, RMU competes in the Atlantic Hockey Association.

“Julian has developed into a great player in his time here in Bismarck,” Bobcats Head Coach and General Manager Layne Sedevie said. “He’s become a guy that has always been an offensive threat to a guy that is now a great 200-foot player and that is a big reason he will have such in college hockey.”

Now in his second season with the Bobcats, Beaumont has recorded 15 goals and 21 assists through 41 games this year. The Plano, Texas, native’s 36 points are third best on the team.

Beaumont becomes the 13th current Bobcat to announce a Division I commitment, and second to Robert Morris. He will join fellow teammate Patrick Johnson at RMU.

Bismarck’s Klayton Knapp (Minnesota Duluth), Jakub Kopecky (St. Lawrence), Stephen Peck (Michigan), Landon Fandel (Northern Michigan), Matthew Rafalski (Lindenwood), Luke Roelofs (Bemidji State), Evan Hunter (Bemidji State), Ben Miller (Northeastern), Tommy Cronin (Colgate), Mathieu Bourgault (RPI), and Jake Peterson (Air Force) have also previously announced their plans to compete at the highest collegiate level.

Founded in 1921, Robert Morris enrolls approximately 4,000 students, offering 60 bachelor degree programs.
