Miller, Hillman Earn Season Honors
Bismarck, ND – Bobcats goaltender Andrew Miller and forward Will Hillman have been named to the NAHL All-Rookie 1st Team. Both players have been named to the Central Division All-Rookie Team as well.
“It’s really cool to have someone to share this honor with,” Miller said. “We were both able to pull off really good seasons with the group of guys we had around us.”
Miller was dominant in his first year in the NAHL, leading the Bobcats with a 22-7-3-1 record to go with a 2.29 goals against average and a .912 save percentage. He was named NAHL Goalie of the Month for October and February, and ended the season on a 10 game point streak.
“Obviously it’s a huge honor that I couldn’t earn without the support of our boys,” Miller said. “I had their back and they had mine, and we made each other better. They allowed me to play my best.”
Hillman tied for the Bobcats team lead this season in points with 43 and goals with 20. His 10 power play goals led the team and finished third in the NAHL.
“It’s pretty special being recognized for having a great year,” Hillman said. “Obviously I wouldn’t be able to do that without the great group of guys behind me. I can’t think the team and our coaches enough.”
The Bobcats accounted for one-third of each rookie team with two players named to both the NAHL All-Rookie 1st Team and Central Division All Rookie Team. Both Hillman and Miller are committed to Minnesota State when their junior hockey career ends.
