With a record of 19-8-1, the Bismarck Bobcats will come off the holiday break rested, refreshed and–most importantly–sitting in first place in the NAHL’s Central Division.

The Bismarck Bobcats earned a two-game sweep of the Owatonna Express on Saturday, riding a three-goal third period to a 5-1 rout of the Express at the Four Seasons Centre to lock down first place in the Central Division heading into the Christmas Break.

The Bismarck Bobcats hung tough through a 5-on-3 penalty kill, numerous fights and a freak glass-breaking accident to overcome the Austin Bruins 3-1 Saturday night at the VFW Sports Center, completing a two-game sweep of the visiting Bruins.

Team Weight, featuring Bismarck Bobcats forwards Charlie Mosey and Dan Zawacki along with Bobcat netminder Ryan Faragher, is the champion of the 2010 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament—playing its first ever event in Boston—following a 7-2 thrashing of Team Legwand at Iorio Arena Tuesday.
